Our Story

God’s Vision, God’s Timing, God’s Church

On March 1, 2006, after many years of serving in a variety of ministerial capacities, the Lord began speaking to Pastor Warren and Tiara’s heart about a big change that was about to take place in their lives.

“You’re moving to Cincinnati to plant a church” were the words that Pastor Warren heard the Lord clearly speak to Him in a dream. The dream shocked Pastor Warren because neither he nor his wife knew a single person in the city of Cincinnati.

Six months later, Pastor Warren had another, identical, dream on two consecutive nights. Both featured him helping two Caucasian pastors take rolls of sod off a truck and unfurl multicolored grass. The Lord provided the interpretation that the men’s actions in the dream represented planting multiethnic churches.

It was at this point that God made it very clear what He was calling Pastor Warren and Tiara to do, leave behind everything and everyone that they knew to move to Cincinnati to plant a multi-ethnic church; a church that would resemble heaven in terms of its ethnic diversity.

In 2009, after a little over three years of receiving those initial dreams from the Lord, The Curry’s felt the Lord telling them that it was time to relocate. In obedience to the Lord’s leading, Pastor Warren and Tiara resigned from the church where he served on staff, closed down their business, and moved, along with their five children, to the Cincinnati area to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.

Not long after arriving in the region, the Curry’s met Randy Rice, lead pastor at LifeChurch West Chester and Joshua Wotawa, associate pastor. Pastor Warren immediately recognized these two pastors as the men from his dream three years earlier.

Shortly after meeting these two men, Warren was invited to become a part of the staff at LifeChurch-West Chester. After a brief nine-month tenure as the Associate Pastor, Pastor Randy and the LifeChurch-West Chester family sent Warren, Tiara, their children and their church planting team of about 37 adults (from LifeChurch) to Fairfield, a northern suburb of the city of Cincinnati, to launch what we know today as Life Changers Church International.

Life Changers Church International (LCCI) began meeting on the first Sunday in October 2011. Although they began gathering at that time, they actually did not hold their first public service until January 1, 2012 with about 85 people in attendance.

Their focus since their founding has been on breaking down racial barriers within the context of the local church (and in the city), reconciling the lost back to God and equipping believers to become efficient in doing the work of Jesus’ ministry.

Their hearts are set on bringing about lasting change to people’s lives, the communities that they live in, and the culture at large by presenting the Gospel of the Kingdom of God with power, clarity and practicality.
